What started as a routine inspection quickly became a life-saving rescue mission. See how our members’ quick action and commitment to safety saved the day!

In a remarkable display of vigilance, our East River Line Crew prevented a potentially fatal Caught Between hazard when carefully inspecting their equipment before turning the machinery on. Hoping to learn more about IES, a grey kitten lodged itself under the hood of our equipment and at the forefront of our safety practices.

Recognizing the potential danger, the crew sprang into action. With an Aim for Zero mindset, they rescued the little fur ball and evaded any accidents. Once safely removed from the equipment, the crew returned the kitten to its nearby friends. Our members quick thinking, teamwork, and Power of One attitude not only ensured that their furry friend was unharmed but demonstrated their commitment and responsibility to safety practices that ensure the welfare of all living organisms—because we all deserve to go home at the end of the day.
